The Jacques Fleury collection ably represents the regional “Bordeaux” appellation with a red, dry white and rosé wine. The label is classical and displays the winemaker’s signature.
The red and rosé wines are made from the usual suspects: the Cabernet Sauvignon (for 60%) brings a wide range of aromas and freshness, while the Merlot (40%) procures a full mouth with extra softness and length. The wineyard is planted on gravel, sand with limestone soils that keep enough heat within the ground that push the vines to give their best. You definitely find that in the glass.
The dry white Bordeaux is fresh, with lemon aromas and with a subtle white flower touch. Made from Sauvignon (70%) and Semillion (30%) this is a perfect match for grilled fish and white meat. If you want to copy the locals you should try to drink it while enjoying oysters… Just delicious.
